Brody Gunter Tests Pro Late Model For Randy Joyner Racing At Caraway

ASHEBORO, N.C. --  Brody Gunter, 18, of Stark, Florida hit a milestone this week when he strapped into a Pro Late Model car for the first time ever and spent the afternoon testing at the Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, North Carolina.

Randy Joyner Racing provided the car and veteran crew chief Walter Stilwell turned the wrenches for the test session.  Gunter looked smooth from the first time on the track, and except for one minor spin in session three, the day was virtually flawless.

He talked afterward about the biggest adjustments he had to make from driving his Legend Car.

"First off, size, being in a full-body car, you're sitting on the left side. So adjusting to the size of the car and how you race on the racetrack with it was a huge adjustment. On top of that, like I said, the engine, how it rolls, how it corners, everything.  I loved every second of it.  I have to thank Walter and the team for letting me do this, and of course my parents, Jordan Black for dropping by and giving me some coaching on the radio, and Tom Baker from Steering Wheel Nation for setting this all up.  I felt more comfortable each time out on the track.  I hadn't been here in a few years, so just getting re-acclimated to the track took a little time, but I am really happy with how the day went overall."
